Dear Friends, Family and Fans of the Wrecking Crew,
I'm hoping that everyone is safe and healthy. Summer is here and like so many others I'm looking forward to seeing friends and family.
Over the last couple of years, we have lost so many WC members which has made it really hard and painful when we hear of someone's passing.
I continue to search out old interviews and find new gems. But recently I did an interview for my latest film, "The Immediate Family" with Leland Sklar. If you know anything about Leland, he is not only a master of his bass, but a beautiful human being.
The film is about Leland, Russ Kunkel on Drums, Guitarist Danny Kortchmar, Waddy Wachtel and Steve Postel who after 50 years + continue to record and make music with their band, "Immediate Family". I started this just before COVID and was able to get a few interviews in the can: Carole King, James Taylor, Don Henley, Jackson Browne, Lou Adler, Linda Rondstadt, Clint Black, Neil Young, David Crosby, Al Schmitt, Val Garay, Stevie Nicks, and more. We are now in post and hoping we will release early next year.
Please join our Facebook Fan page for the film, @immediatefamilyfilm or visit on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/immediatefamilyfilm/
In honor of Father's day coming up, I thought I'd share this story about my father, Tommy Tedesco, told by the great, Leland Sklar. I also want to let you know about Leland's table top book called, "Everybody Loves Me". If you are offended by a pictural book of 1000s of people flipping Leland the bird, this is not for you.
Here is an excerpt from an LA Times review:
With each page turned your smile glows brighter. Even the plainest faces become alive with promise as the pronounced middle finger defies men, angles and beasts. The greatest gift of all is to know that we do not travel alone, that there are hands to touch us and hearts to keep us warm and a book that unites all of this as well as humanity...
Some people you will recognize and some you won't. Who knows, maybe you are in this book.

The other Father's day special gift is Ken Sharps hard cover table top book, "Sound Explosion!: Inside L.A.'s Studio Factory with the Wrecking Crew". This is an amazing collection of interviews with the musicians and artists of the time that recorded in the Los Angeles Studios. This special includes the Wrecking Crew DVD (with 6 hours of bonus material) and "The Wrecking Crew Soundtrack, Take 2": three CDs filled with music of the WC musicians.
